As some of you may know, I just had my NA long block rebuilt
by a local machine/performance shop here by the name of
Wayne Calvert Racing. The day I got the motor back in I had
planned to make a trip to San Antonio for a X-mass party. I
drove the car around for a bit after getting the motor in
and everything appeared fine. That evening I take off for SA
and end up making it to Waco, about 1 hr away, before I loose
all oil pressure. I start calling friends to see if anyone can help
out: (call logs reconstructed from police files…. ;)

Me: Hey dude, whats up?
ni[X]it: Not much, just herding some sheep
Me: Oh....uhh, well listen. I was wondering if you could help
me out...I'm stranded in Waco.....
ni[X]it: Uhh...I'm sorry, who is this again?
Me: Dude, it me...Charlie
ni[X]it: Who?
Me: Ha Ha fawker, its me, Charlie....
ni[X]it: I'm sorry, I dont know any Charlie

David: Hello?
Me: Hey dude, whats up?
David: Uhh, I got three chicks over here and the video camera is rollin’
Me: Damn dude, why did ya even bother answering the phone…?
David: ……ya know, that’s a good point.

genic: Hello?
Me: Hey, whatcha doing?
genic: Don’t tell me, your POS NA blew tha fuck up?
Me: *sigh* Ya ya, so what….can you help me out?
genic: Where are you?
Me: Waco….
genic: Jesus H Christ! You are so pathetic….
Me: So is that a yes?
genic: Ya, but I get reach arounds for the rest of the year.
Me: Done. And hurry, the locals are looking shifty….. The next day I called the shop and told them what happened. That night
Randy came over to my place (45 min drive) after he got off to personally
look over the motor and take it back to their shop. He was very nice and
apologized profusely the entire time. I just got off the phone with him and
he said everything is just about done and he would like to bring it back to
me this evening. He said the double checked everything, pressure tested it,
etc etc etc and it all looks good. Just wanted to say that this is some of the
best customer service I have ever had. For Randy to go out of his way and
not only pick up the motor, but then bring it back...I am really impressed.
